Improvements

In our first draft, we had several problems;
We had to overshoot and this meant that we included too many shots in our final piece, making the opening 27 seconds over our "maximum" time allowance. We countered this by cutting down the length of the opening tracking shot and shortening some of the scenes.

Some of the colour grading and vignettes we used needed adjusting to ensure that the level of lighting stayed constant. Since it was our first time editing with final cut, we had used the effects too strongly and so in some scenes the continuity of the lighting was off.

We removed the buzzing sound as it was too fake and seemed unnecessary. As well as this, the diegetic sound from the lady moving the tiles did not continue through into the following shot - which meant that we needed a sound bridge. The diegetic sound of the voicemails needed to be louder, and when they ended we needed to add non-diegetic sound to keep the tension.

Lastly, we edited some of the text and font to make it more readable and suitable to our genre.
